Mother's Day Miniature Bouquets

DIY: mOTHER'S dAY MINIATURE BOUQUETS

I was looking in my garden to inspire me for a new floral creation but there were hardly any flowers out at all. But I did find a few smaller flowers (and something I suspect may be a weed but is very pretty) along with plenty of foliage. So with these tiny flowers, I decided I was going to create a miniature bouquet!

A mini bouquet would make a great little gift to brighten someones day or to attach to a birthday card (or you could even make a miniature card and envelope to go with it, like in the above picture) plus they’re very quick, cheap and easy to make! Follow the instructions below to make your own…
You will need…
         A collection of small flowers
         A small amount of foliage
Tissue paper in a matching colour to the flowers
         Cello wrap
         Sellotape
         Ribbon

Instructions:
1.    Arrange your chosen flowers and foliage then secure with a piece of string about about a 1/4 from the bottom. Trim the stems to equal lengths.
2.    Iron the tissue paper (if it’s wrinkled) and cut out two 3.5 x 3.5 inch squares.
3.    Cut out two 3.5 x 3.5 inch squares of cello wrap and match them up with the tissue paper squares.
4.    You should now have two squares with one layer of tissue paper and one layer of cello wrap on each. Fold the squares in the way I have shown in the third picture above.
5.    Lightly wrap one of the cello wrap/tissue paper pieces around the bouquet and secure with sellotape. And wrap the other one around with the middle covering the sellotape of the last one and secure with tape again.
6.    Grasping the end of the cello wrap, tie a ribbon securely around it and add a bow if you wish.
7.    Ta da! A cute miniature bouquet :-)
